The vocal range test runs in your browser, and the sound stays there.
Online here means in the tab, not on a server. The microphone signal is read by code running in the page, the pitch is worked out there, and the sound is discarded frame by frame as it goes. Nothing is recorded and nothing is sent.
The result draws on 430 songs and 21 singers, and all of it was downloaded with the page — nothing is fetched while you sing.

What leaves your device
Each line is checked against the file that makes it true, and if the code changes the line changes in the same commit.

If the browser will not give up the microphone
A refused microphone looks like a broken test. It is usually one setting, and it is a different setting on each of these.

Two things people ask about doing this online
Is an online vocal range test as accurate as an app?
For pitch, yes. Both read a microphone and both are accurate to a few cents on a steady note, which is finer than anyone sings. The difference between tools is not the maths, it is what each one is willing to count as a note.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts on this site at all, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log back into. The result lives in the link, which means you keep it by keeping the link.
